A classic steak salad with a very flavorful maple balsamic dressing that will be a staple for a delicious meal any day of the week.
8-10 hours prior to making your meal, cover the steak liberally in salt (1 tsp per side) and leave to sit in the fridge on a wire rack above a sheet pan.
Preheat the oven to 250F. Once heated, cook the steak for 30-40 min or until the internal temperature reaches 118F. During this time, prepare the dressing and rest of the salad.
Rest the steak for 10 minutes, covered with aluminum foil. With 3 minutes remaining, preheat a cast iron skillet on high heat.
Cook on each side for 45 seconds then remove and rest for an additional 10 minutes, covered. Slice diagonally and serve with salad once prepared.
Combine all dressing ingredients in a jar or tupperware, then shake to combine.
Chop all salad ingredients into small pieces. Pour about half the dressing onto the lettuce and mix to coat greens. Add in remaining salad ingredients and combine. Top with steak, additional dressing if desired, and enjoy!
